Yes, I’m still here. Though regarding the vulnerable…I’d imagine the king (who’s being on edge anyway) would be furious that his beloved passed on and demands the head of the one who took her from him…maybe even go out himself to hunt the culprit that doesn’t exist, probably leaving terror and destruction in his wake…but unfortunately I don’t see how that’s going to help them with the medallion…unless of course they find a way to make him believe, that it’s the medallion’s fault that the queen is ‘dead’. In that case he MIGHT discard it.
I’m a writer myself with a focus on Sci-Fi…so yeah, ‘the power of love’ has proven to save the day less often than one might assume. (Also, sorry for the late reply)
Humans are volatile creatures and once thrown out of their comfort zone (like the king is about to be) they tend to react with extreme violence or aggressively.
