She realizes, that she was the one who unleashed all that destruction and almost got her friends killed.
She is sad, because she slowly begins to realize that she too has a dark side. And that this dark side is getting stronger.
And finally, she would do well to be sad because she’s realizing that they’re not going to win if they persist being ‘the good guys’.
