This page reminded me of a section of the poem ‘we’re going on a bear hunt’ by Michael Rosen:
Uh-uh!
A cave!
A narrow gloomy cave.
We can’t go over it.
We can’t go under it.
Oh no! We’ve got to go through it!
Tiptoe! Tiptoe! Tiptoe!
WHAT’S THAT!
One shiny wet nose!
Two big furry ears!
Two big goggly eyes!
IT’S A BEAR!
Fun fact:
My little guy (3 years old) has that game from his kindergarten.
Only it was with a lion instead of a bear, but the difference is the same.
What is that? A big river! (or grass, or jungle, or fire…and at the end of the game comes the cave with the lion inside upon which the scramble and run away…cause you know, they aren’t scared at all. :P)
We cannot go over it.
We cannot go under it.
We need to go straight through.
Jorb. Puntastic!
You’d better save Sasha something!
