Oh, come on…he was in bed, unarmed, with no-one else around. You could have at least stabbed him a few times! I mean, you *see* what he’s done as “king,” you think he’ll appreciate being spared? >_<
That’s the problem with being the good guy.

How can the good guys in good consciousness kill an unarmed man?
Okay, maybe getting stabby was an extreme reaction. They didn’t have to *kill* him necessarily, but they should have taken the opportunity to remove him as a threat. They could have taken him captive and forced him to call off his soldiers; after all, they’re inhuman golem-things that he controls via evil magic. He probably doesn’t have a chain of command or subordinates of any influence in a power structure to take over for him if he kicks it.
