On that note, in German folklore, there’s the fairy tale of ‘Frau Holle’, who brought the snow down upon the world when she made her bed.
The mythological figure relates to the Norse goddess ‘Hel’ (daughter of Loki, ruler of Niflheim) and is it really much of a coincidence that her name differs from the German word for ‘Hell’ (Hölle) by just two dots?
I think not.
So yeah, snow equals death, especially for the unprepared.
