The end!
Of Chapter 16. Not of Sasha (I hope???)
What is Cerwyn's deal? Is she bonkers? Is she really just super confident? Is she like a cat playing with her meal? Who knows? Hell hath no fury like a woman who knows a crapload of magic scorned...
I'm gonna take a week or two off to regroup, and then onto Chapter 17...and also, officially, VOLUME THREE.
Well, she has been told: ‘Those are her heads’.
Why is she so surprised to see a familiar one among them?
In fact this reminds me of that one movie (can’t quite remember which one it was), where the moon consisted of a ‘head’ (the actual moon) and the ‘body’, connected by a collar of some sort.
If separated, the head was gentle and kind, but attached to the body, he was violent and mean…sure rings a bell or two here. 🙂
Have a good respite and thanks for keeping up with the comic. 🙂
You might be thinking of The Adventures of Baron Munchausen (1988, d. Terry Gilliam) where the King of the Moon (Ray D. Tutto) and his queen both had heads that could separate from their bodies (and big collar ruff-type things). Now, the whole “witch with removable heads that are stored in niches in a corridor” thing reminds me of the film Return to Oz (1985, d. Walter Murch), where the vain witch Mombi had exactly that setup.
