They don’t have that many bibles in their world, do they?
Honestly, what do they teach people these days?
You just don’t trust snakes! No! Never!
*Ahem*…and the price? None but death (who demands your life) is for free in this world.
Well, let’s see how this unfolds.
Also, animals tend to not be able to talk, which means, her being a ‘powerful sorceress’ and all, either she turned herself into a snake (which makes little sense, since people need to be super desperate to listen to talking animals instead of trying to kill them), or was turned into a snake by another magician’s curse.
The second option makes more sense, because that would unveil the real motive of the sorceress: This curse would leave the snake unable to practice her magic (try to draw a pentacle without hands or making an incantation without getting your split tongue twisted :P). Or maybe her magic just got sealed altogether, that’s also possible. In either case, she requires someone else to lift the curse for her, and since any capable existing sorcerer would never dare cross one powerful enough to cast a spell of this nature on someone who claims of herself to be ‘powerful’ or would want to know what in the world she did to deserve this curse in the first place.
So, getting herself an apprentice and getting her to break the curse is the easiest way for her to get back to her old shape.
There are a few other options regarding the motives of the snake…I wonder which one you chose. 😉
