This kind of story tends to hint at something, like: ‘I’m not a bad person, I need to do this, because…’ –> Cue poor sap who might be able to help (by sacrificing something).
In this case, most likely, the medallions Sasha already has, because ‘that would at long last give her the power to save her beloved’ (who would’ve passed away a long time ago by then…:P)
Now wouldn’t it be curious if it were.
Maybe it actually WAS true at some point, however I highly doubt that ‘the health of her beloved’ is her current motivation.
Furthermore, if he really was as grievously wounded as stated, he would’ve died a long time ago now, so if anything, she’d have to perform Necromancy to ‘get him back to health’. 😀
